FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the difference between an Adult Character and a Student Character?
An Adult Character is, of course, 17+ years old, usually has a job, your own place (Apartment or House) and does not attend Hogwarts as a Student unless in the student’s seventh year. Student Characters are age 11 – 16 years old, usually attends Hogwarts, and does not have the advantages that Adults have, such as the option of marriage. Only students 15+ may get a job, but they will make very little money on the side.

How do I participate in the subplot(s)?

What rules and such should I read?

What is up with races and special abilities?

How many characters may I have?
A member may have as many characters the member feels s/he can keep active. If a member has become inactive, any canon characters that person has will be stripped from the member and up for grabs for any other member to take over.
What is considered “active” or “inactive”?
To be active means that the member signs in and posts at least once a week. An inactive member is a member who has not signed in for fourteen days, has not notified an Admin that s/he will be unavailable to post, or has not replied to a subplot that the member has signed up for. Inactive members will be removed from the current subplot, and if the character possesses a special ability, the ability will be stripped, or if the character is part of a race other than human, the character will then be deduced to a human, and if the member has a canon character, that character will then be stripped from the member and up for grabs to be roleplayed. In the case that the member becomes active once more and the character has already been taken over by someone else, the member cannot take the character back. The member may create a new character and sign up for a race or special ability, even if the roster for those are full, but only after the first time; other times, the member must wait for an opening.
I want a place to live... how would I go about doing that?
Well, obviously, if you are a student or an Employee of Hogwarts, during the school year you would have residence in the castle. Students may request a Childhood Home in which they may RP during their student years. These houses will not be inherited. For those of you who work at Hogwarts or anywhere else and currently are adults, you may buy a House or Apartment.
